We do not currently have any vacancies for paid employment.
We are a small but ambitious credit union with plans to upgrade our IT system and expand our membership to enable us to deliver our services to everyone in our common bond area of Hastings & Rother. Our volunteers are an important part of the Credit Union and we value the time that they contribute. Volunteers can work in our town centre office, from home or at one of our information points.
We are looking for people with the skills we need to help us move forward with several specific roles which we have listed below. Whilst we are looking for volunteers who can commit a few hours a month on a regular basis we would welcome applications from people who are able to offer us some time on an ad hoc or one-off basis for specific pieces of work. We work flexibly and much of the work can be undertaken outside office hours, from home and training will be provided.
For more information about please contact our chair Richard Street or our Senior Manager Dawn Poole at email@example.com or call 01424 202651. We will seek your permission before undertaking a DBS check and contacting referees as these are an essential part of our recruitment process.
Treasurer / Board Member
We are looking for a finance professional to act as treasurer for our board. We would ideally like someone who has experience in dealing with regulatory bodies in the financial field. Compliance and audit skills would also be beneficial. This is a senior position on the board, so would suit someone who has previously worked at this level. Credit unions serve the local community so when people invest in their local credit union, they know their neighbours or colleagues are benefiting, not outside shareholders. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays on 01424 202651
Are you a confident user of WordPress? We need some help keeping our website up to date and make it easy to use for our members. If you have an hour or two each week to do this please get in touch for a chat or complete the application form below.

Looking to give back to your community?
We need volunteers to join our Credit Committee which is responsible for monitoring the Credit Union’s loan business, loan assessment and making recommendations on policy changes to the loan and credit control policies for agreement by the Board. We are undergoing a period of rapid transformation and growth with changes to our IT systems and services giving applicants the opportunity to make an impact on the direction of the credit union at a pivotal time. Each member owns a share of the credit union and has a say on the running of the credit union.
If you can spare a few hours each month we are specifically looking for board members with professional experience in accountancy, audit and risk and data protection as we expand our organisation.
